Derrel Gene Ashcraft, 89, of El Dorado, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1937 to Irvin Rowland Ashcraft and Estelle Alice Walker Ashcraft in Rison, AR.
Derrel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later in the National Guard. He was a devoted member of Lawson Baptist Church, a 32nd-degree Mason with El Dorado Lodge No. 13, and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Derrel enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and taking drives along country back roads just to see where they led. Along the way, he often discovered small, hidden cafés and the occasional yard sale. He had a special appreciation for finding a good bargain and always enjoyed the thrill of discovering a great deal.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and brother, Bobby Ashcraft.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Pennington Ashcraft; daughters, Dawn Ashcraft, Tammy Ashcraft (Kristi); step-daughter, Terri Hightower; granddaughter, Lilli Kate Ashcraft; great grandchildren, Bentley Cramer, Oakleigh Cramer, Scarlette Cramer, and Sawyer Bagwell.
