Donald Wayne Kent

He was born November 11, 1936 in Evergreen, Alabama, the son of Bennie and Myrtice Merrill Kent.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Michael Wayne; and a brother, James C. Kent.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Peggy Ann Fillmore Kent of Smackover; daughters, Tammy Swift (Everett) of Smackover and Tina Kent Reynolds (Mike) of Smackover. A sister, Nita Prince (Bob) of Bluff Dale, TX; Grandsons, Jerad Swift of Smackover and Jeremy Swift of Fayetville; granddaughter, Krisanna Lee Reynolds of Smackover; great-granddaughter, Pyper Lane Swift of Smackover; and a great many friends.

He and his wife owned Kent’s Bulldozer Service for 35 years and had retired this past year. He was a loving and devoted family man and was an extremely hard worker. He was a member of Lisbon United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be held at Young’s Chapel, June 12, 2012 Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Dan Hall officiating. Internment will follow in Salem Cemetery at Lisbon.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
