Born on July 11, 1946, in El Dorado, Arkansas, Donna was raised in Smackover, where she graduated from Smackover High School. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harvey "Tip" Davis and Maurice Valentine Davis.
Donna devoted more than twenty years of her professional life to the insurance industry, serving as a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent and Commercial Insurance Accounts Manager at several independent insurance agencies before retiring in 2008.
As the wife of a United States serviceman, Donna and her beloved husband, Quanah "Skip" Yerby, enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and across the United States during his military career. They later made their home in Camden, Arkansas, while spending countless summers at their lake home on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, where boating, fishing, and time on the water became some of their happiest memories together. Following Skip's passing, Donna moved to Hot Springs in 2001, where she remained close to the lake and the place they had both loved. Donna also enjoyed flower gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Donna was a proud member of the A.G. Bell Association for the Deaf, the Arkansas Association for the Hearing Impaired, the Arkansas Association for Hearing Impaired Children, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Quanah "Skip" Yerby, and by her parents, Harvey "Tip" Davis and Maurice Valentine Davis.
Donna is survived by her sons, Michael Yerby of Hot Springs and David Yerby of Hot Springs Village; her daughter-in-law, Hollie Yerby; her cherished grandson, Jaxton Yerby; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
