Eddie Anderson Jr.

Eddie George Anderson, Jr., 84, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at his residence. He was born on September 2, 1941 to Eddie George Anderson, Sr. and Dortha Lee Shaw Anderson in Decatur, TX.

Preceding him in death, along with his parents are two brothers, Curtis Fred Anderson and Sammy Frank Anderson.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In 1971 he surrendered his life to the Lord and served 45 years in the ministry in five churches Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Eddie was a retired minister of music and education at the Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church. He was the owner and auctioneer of Grandpa's Auctions and Estate Sales.

He was a devoted husband, loving father and Grandpa George. He loved people and shared Jesus with everyone he met.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years and 5 months, Patricia Faye Apple Anderson; daughter, Christy England (Brad); son, Darrin Anderson (Alicia) all of El Dorado; sister, Nancy Ruth Abrams (Gary) of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Chandler Burton (Amanda), Caitlyn Burton, Jarrod Anderson (Sophie), Raedynn England, Gracie England, Madison Pierce, Makela Pierce, Haleigh Pierce; great grandchildren, Addie Rue Burton, Kindsley Anderson, Sydney Anderson; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Stephen), J.J. (Tim), Ike (Heather), James (Shannon), Carson (Jenni), Sarah (Matthew), Jason, Darrell (Tammi).

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Young's.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 in Young's Chapel with Dr. Clark Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
