Born August 1, 1922 in Summerfield, Louisiana she was the daughter of Samuel and Verna Moss Main. Edith was a LPN at Warner Brown Hospital and always had a smile for everyone. She was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, were her husband Q.Y. Maples and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Roy Maples of Dallas, Texas and Alvin Maples (Ruby) of El Dorado. Also surviving is a grandson, Stephen Maples of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a sister-in-law, Maureen Main of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Inmon and Rev. Ross Woodbury officiating. Interment will follow in Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
