Edna Doris Enis Daniels, 97 of San Antonio, TX, formerly of El Dorado, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 9, 2013. Edna was born on October 31, 1915 to Charles F and Mollie Perdue Enis in El Dorado, Arkansas. She went to school in El Dorado and graduated from Myrtle Grove High School. She married her high school sweetheart Wesley O’Delle Daniels in 1935 in El Dorado, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker while O’Delle served in World War II. O’Delle became a pipefitter and they traveled around the country working. Edna was a good mother and a devoted Baptist attending Ebenezer Baptist in El Dorado and Wardville Baptist in Pineville, Louisiana. Edna lived through a time from the Great Depression to the present with dignity, humor, kindness and immense faith and love for her family.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband Wesley O’Delle Daniels, her sons Charles and Glenn Dean Daniels, a sister and brothers along with her parents.
She is survived by her granddaughters Dana Draeger and husband Dan, Donna Roberts, Debbie White and husband Ron, grandson Dean Daniels and wife Cindy, great granddaughters Taylor Dubois, Brandi White, Roni Lynn Gilley, great grandsons Wes Roberts, Dalton Draeger and great great-grandson Kole Roberts, and a nephew Gary Nunn.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Pelz officiating. Interment will follow a Bethel Methodist Cemetery on Hwy 167 South.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to services.
