Edward was a member of First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Drive in Smackover, Arkansas.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charles Meekins.
Edward is survived by his brother, Alvin Meekins of El Dorado; Crystle Malone, his caregiver since 2018; his special family at South Arkansas Development Center for Children and Families, Inc.; the CEO of SADCCF, Barbara Staggs; and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service for Edward will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Young's Funeral Directors Chapel with Reverend Wayne Crew officiating.
