On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Edward Chester Moore, Jr., loving husband and father of two children and two step-children, passed away at the age of 65. Edward was born March 15, 1955 in El Dorado, AR to Edith and Edward C. "Johnny" Moore.
He worked in the oilfield for more than forty years and worked at Lawrence Electric the last six years. He also pumped wells for Arkansas Production Services in his free time. On September 24, 1993, he married Connie Sue Hicks Roberts, the love of his life for twenty-seven years.
Ed was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and spending time in the woods admiring nature, where he felt closest to God. He was very proud of his four-wheeler and boat, and loved his two dogs, Toby and Jack. He was a member of Arkansas Guns Association, National Rifle Association, Haynes Creek Deer Camp, as well as an IBEW local 436. He was a very devoted husband and brought joy and happiness to those close to him. He never met a stranger and was known to be a hard worker and for his gentle and kind spirit. He was a simple all American man.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward C. "Johnny" Moore; and his step-daughter, Marcie Roberts Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Moore; his mother, Edith Moore; sisters, Donna Lee (Steve) Lawrence, Shirley (Drew) Hobbs; sons, Jake (Samantha) Moore, Matt (Toni Lynn) Moore; step-son, Wade (Shonda) Roberts; grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Macy and Jackson Moore, Haley Abbott, Hunter Allen, a very special granddaughter, Kelcy Roberts; several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and best friend, Bevis Roberts.
There will be no services at this time due to the COVID Pandemic. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
