Elaine Fambrough

Elaine was born on August 8, 1927 in El Dorado, AR to Emmett and Ethel Keys Pirtle. She lived several places in her life but El Dorado, AR was always home. Elaine was a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, TX with a Bachelors of Music degree. She taught music for several years in the El Dorado Public Schools. Elaine was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado.

Elaine was preceded in death by parents, her husband of 58 years William ‘Bill’ Fambrough, and a son in law Dr. Howard Corley.

Survivors are daughters Glenda Corley and Anne Simpson both of Houston, TX, a brother Rev. George Pirtle and wife Susan of Lima,OH, her grandchildren Kim Smith and husband Mike, David Corley and wife Lindsey, Justin Simpson, Jennifer Simpson and Joshua Simpson, a niece Sarah Pirtle, along with her great grandchildren Addie, Court, Hudson, Blaine and Trent.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm at Young’s Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Lynn Worthen officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
