Elizabeth Sanders

Born on January 12, 1946, in Yazoo City, Mississippi; she was the daughter of Edwin Lewis Sanders and Essie Coleman Sanders. Her parents preceded her in death.

Elizabeth graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1964. She was a graduate of the Mississippi State College for Women. She married her husband, John, on August 7, 1971, in Jackson, Mississippi. After time in Mississippi, Houston, and Pittsburgh, Elizabeth, John, and their two sons moved to Spring, Texas, in 1976.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chenier Johnny Sanders; son, Michael Chenier Sanders and his wife Angela Gore Sanders of Missouri City, Texas; son, John Coleman Sanders and his wife Laura Jacobs Sanders of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Jackson Lee Sanders, Harrison Chenier Sanders, Greyson Gore Sanders, Lena Forsty Sanders, and Jake Glarner Sanders.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Young’s Funeral Directors in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, at Young’s Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Scotland Presbyterian Cemetery in Junction City, Arkansas, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
