She was born September 24, 1924 to Hugh and Dessie Loe Moon in Dierks, Arkansas and at a young age moved to Nashville, AR, where she grew up. Emma retired from National Bank of Commerce, now Simmons Bank with 50 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church in El Dorado, AR.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Moon and Dessie Loe Moon, one brother, Eugene Moon, and two sisters, Thelma Bradshaw and Minnie Flippin. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, L B Calloway and A L Burns.
Survivors include one sister, Nina Mae Sutherlin of El Dorado, one nephew, David Sutherlin (Glenda) of El Dorado, and one niece, Rebecca Barber (Richard) of Little Rock, AR. She was also survived by four step-children, Pam Worley (Mike) of Rosswell, New Mexico, Andrea Kirby (William), Sara Langford (Curt) and Dr. Tom Burns (Brenda) all of Texarkana, Texas.
Emma always had a very sharp mind. She loved working puzzles and watching game shows. She enjoyed going to her family Branch reunions in Pike County. She also enjoyed taking a Sunday Drive. Over the years, she stayed active playing golf, bowling, fishing, and loved to be outdoors working in her yard.
The family will have a private ceremony at Young's Funeral Home with Hunter Bezet officiating. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park.
