Ervin Donald Burroughs

Ervin Donald Burroughs, 77, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013, at John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born July 29, 1936, to Ervin Louis Burroughs and Lula Mae Haney Burroughs in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mr. Don was a proud father and grandfather. He loved his family and wife of 56 years, Marliese. They were partners and help mates in everything. Though they were as different as two people could be, they completed each other. After her passing in April, Mr. Don found it hard to carry on without her. After a brief illness, he joined the love of his life in Heaven. He was retired from the transportation business and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was also a member of the Masons.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Maria Luiese Burroughs; three brothers, Lou and Charles Burroughs, and Bill Laney; one sister, Jenny Summers.

Survivors include his daughter, Donya Orrell (Michael) of El Dorado; and four grandchildren, Taylor Robertson, Grey Watson, Cole Watson, and Dennis Wiegand.

There will be a private family memorial service.
