Fannie Ruth Newsom Green, 100, of El Dorado, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Timberlane Health and Rehab. She was born June 30, 1922 to William Walter and Sallie Washam Newsom in El Dorado, AR.
She was retired from Exchange Bank, and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, reading and was a wonderful cook. Ruth will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Drew Green; sisters, Juanita E. Newsom, Lupheila Jones and nephew, Clifton Jones.
Survivors include her daughters, Melissa King (Bobby), Sally Baldwin (Mark); son, Tommy Green (Cindy); six grandchildren, Lisa Dumas (Jamie), Todd King, Ashley Milam (Joseph), Matthew Baldwin (Melissa), Jonathan Green (Donna), Tim Green (Kaye); twelve great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and a special niece, Barbara Jones.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Young's Funeral Directors. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Josh Bullock officiating.
