Born October 5, 1948 in Smackover, she was the daughter of Willie Frank and Ivern McKnight Kennedy. Faye attended and graduated Smackover High School. She met and married the love of her life Tony. They were married on September 23rd 1967. They had their first and most adorable child Anthony in November of 1969. Stephanie, the apple of dad's eye was born in February of 1975. Faye and Tony were very active in church and attended Calvary Baptist in Smackover. Faye was very active in the Girls Auxiliary (GA's) both at Calvary and on the State level serving on the board with honor. Later moving church letter to Joyce City Baptist and finally resting in attendance at Maple Avenue Baptist.
Faye loved her family very much with a sweet smile and demeanor until one misbehaved and it was a wooden spoon, belt or fly swatter to which Stephanie received very few. She loved and cared deeply for her children as well as her grandchildren. Her life revolved around church and her family.
Faye loved pretty things, what nots, and flowers. Faye and Tony both worked in the flower beds and potted many hanging baskets together. The back porch and sitting area were a testament to that passion. Faye always had a warm smile for everyone she met. Faye never really met a stranger and by the end of most conversations you would end up being related somehow. If you were lucky she would offer a bear sized hug from her petite arms and warmth from her caring heart.
Faye loved her Lord and Savior. She spent hours reading and studying her Bible. Faye was a prayer warrior. If she told you she'd pray for you know that she would. Not only that, Faye and Tony put their feet to their shared faith and love for the Gospel. They joined and were active members in the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA's). Yes Faye was a motorcycle momma. She rode cross country, visited various churches and set up booths at fairs to reach the lost with Tony, Buddy and Suzie Richard and the rest of their CMA group. They shared the gospel with numerous and countless people.
Faye is truly leaving a legacy of faith, mercy, grace and enduring love behind. Her family was her greatest treasure and Jesus was her biggest love. Her life was a testimony well lived with no regrets. She left this world peacefully. Then instantly woke up shouting and praising her Lord in Glory.
