
Floyd Klippert, 91, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. He was born February 16, 1920, to Charles Edward and Mattie Murphy Klippert in Urbana, AR. Before his retirement, Floyd was a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, where he attended the Men’s Sunday School Class until his illness no longer permitted.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Broach Klippert; five brothers, Pete Klippert, Edward Klippert, Ray Klippert, Bill Klippert and Little Son Klippert; five sisters, Nellie Simmons, Bertha France, Dorothy Coker, Marie Perdue and Ruth Chenault.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Klippert (Deborah) of Haskell, AR, Todd Klippert (Kim) of El Dorado, AR; one daughter, Pam Klippert of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Robert Buck Klippert, of El Dorado; nine grandchildren, Deana Revels (Brian) of Haskell, AR, Angela Kolbet (Nate) of Hastings, NE, Justin and Tyler Moreland of Haskell, AR, Amanda Taylor (Reece) of Baton Rouge, LA, Adam Taylor of El Dorado, Cole Cates (Candy) of El Dorado, Hunter Klippert of Little Rock, AR, Mattie Klippert of El Dorado; six great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their appreciation to three very special caregivers, Tequila Hicks, Santana Mitchell and Monica Pierce.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors and with Rev. Greg Tucker officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the graveside at Young’s.
