Frances Arnold Bates Langley

Frances Arnold Langley, 95, of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. She was born July 30, 1917, to Thomas Ashley and Susie Elizabeth Brown Bates in Smackover, AR.

She was a member of the Norphlet United Pentecostal Church and was a 20 year employee of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers, George Bates and Newton Bates; sister, Ruby Nash; and a grandson, Brian Travis Arnold.

Survivors include her son, Travis Ray Arnold (Debra) of Merryville, LA; brother, Jimmy Bates of Texarkana, AR, sister, Margaret Nordmyer of El Dorado; granddaughter, Dianna Rae Herbert (Patrick) of Merryville, LA; and three great grandchildren, Joseph, Deveyn, and Jacob Dunegan all of Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Nathan Dupree officiating. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at noon until 2:00 prior to the service.
