Frank Robinson 74, passed away Saturday August 5, 2018 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation, under Hospice Home Care of Monticello following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born January 16, 1944, to Moses and Gladys Bolding Robinson in Smackover, Arkansas.
Frank loved God, his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He was a long time, dedicated hunter and fisherman whose greatest joy was teaching what he knew and passing his love to family and friends, especially his grandsons. He, along with his wife and others, traveled to Belize on mission trips for 25 years for both Bible school and building projects, where he was able to share the news of Jesus Christ and help lead people to becoming a Child of God. Frank was an Army veteran who obtained the rank of specialist 4 and was stationed in Korat and Bangkok, Thailand. He held the position of Chief Clerk at the Army Regional Engineer Liaison Office. He worked as an operator at Georgia Pacific for forty years. Frank was a member of Union Methodist Protestant Church in Strong where he served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent for many years.
Preceding him are his parents and surviving him are his wife Dena Robinson, daughter Deborah Ann Robinson, and son Jon Eric Robinson. His grandchildren Lane Darden, Wyatt Darden, and Garrett Darden all of Strong Arkansas. His sister Charlotte Mills of Crossett, Arkansas. Also his nephews Daniel Mills (Linda) and Lance Mills , along with his Nieces; Brenda Wells ( Mark) and Katrina Craig (Jamie) all of Crossett, Arkansas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Frank during his illness. A special thank you to Angel Eppinette for her loving devotion and care while he was home.
