Gayle was a precious friend and co-worker at Rogers Middle School. She and Lydia kept the school running smoothly and with a smile, even on Homecoming when half the student body checked out early. I loved her mischievous sense of humor, which was on full display with her office decorated with dozens of bees. I'll always miss the Queen Bee of Rogers.

Gayle was such a sweet and fiesty lady. One of my favorite memories was at Rogers where I taught and she was secretary. She often called me to the office during my planning time to answer phone, or talk to parent , etc. One day I was called to office to find Gayle just wanting me to massage her neck and shoulders. (I had done it one day before as a surprise while talking to her. ) After that, I never knew if I had a school related function to perform when she called me or shoulder rub time! Lol. I miss her! My prayers go out to Marvin and whole family.

Gayle was always one of the most upbeat precious people I have ever known. I will always remember her love for beautiful jewelry. When she wanted something new, she was gonna have it. She called new jewelry “just a little pick me up.” She also taught me that it only takes 10 cents more to go first class. She was a first class lady.
