She was born July 6, 1929 in the Strong community to the late Samuel N. Taylor and Lizzie Gunter Taylor. She was preceded in death by two brothers, and six sisters, her first husband, Alex Ragland and second husband, James Colbert.
She was a current member of West Side Baptist Church for over 70 years and was also a member of the Golden Agers. She was very kind and always willing to help others in need. She lived by example and listened with wisdom. She was loved and will be missed by so many.
Mrs. Colbert is survived by her two her daughters, Patricia Orr (Ronnie) and Bennie Hayes (Rick), four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one sister, Velma Gilliam of Lake Jackson, TX.
A private graveside service was held under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
