Geraldine Elizabeth "Gerry" Taylor Huller, age 85, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 5, 2026, following complications from Parkinson's disease. She lived a life defined by unwavering faith, selfless love, joyful service, and a heart devoted to glorifying God.
Born to Reverend Gerald Trussell and Elizabeth Trussell, Gerry was raised in a Christian home where faith and music were woven into the fabric of daily life. From an early age, she traveled with her father as he faithfully served as a Southern Baptist minister. Blessed with a remarkable musical gift, Gerry used her talents to praise the Lord wherever He called her. An accomplished pianist, she found great joy in leading worship and sharing the love of Christ through music in every church she attended. Whether playing the piano, singing hymns, or encouraging others through worship, her life reflected the words of Psalm 100: "Serve the Lord with gladness."
Gerry also had a passion for traveling and treasured every opportunity to explore God's beautiful creation. More than the places she visited, she cherished the people she met along the way, always extending kindness, warmth, and a genuine interest in others. She never met a stranger, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Professionally, Gerry dedicated many years as an elementary music teacher, where she inspired countless children with her love of music, creativity, patience, and encouragement. She believed every child had value and delighted in helping them discover their own unique gifts. After retiring from teaching, Gerry answered another calling by working with young adults with special needs. Her compassionate heart, gentle nature, and unwavering belief in the worth of every individual endeared her to her students and their families. She considered this work not simply a job, but a ministry of love.
Above all else, Gerry loved the Lord. She found daily strength and peace through reading and studying God's Word, and her faith was evident in the way she lived, loved, served, and cared for others. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured grandmother, faithful sister, and loyal friend whose legacy of faith will continue to inspire generations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Gerald Trussell and Elizabeth Trussell, and by her beloved twin daughters, Cinthia Lee and Katheryn Elizabeth.
Gerry leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Stan Huller; her daughters, Joy (Jeff) Mason of Junction City, Arkansas; Melody (Chris) Parker of Madison, Alabama; Kristi Huller of New York City, New York; her son, Jay (Katy) Huller of Canton, Georgia; her brother, Gene Trussell of Columbus, Mississippi; and her beloved grandchildren, Taylor (LeaAnn) Mason, Madison Miller, Kaci (Jacob) Brimer, Luke Miller, Makenzie Parker, Daisy Parker, Kate (Eric) Valor, and Anna (Neil) Jackson, the apples of her eye great granddaughters, Lyndall James Mason and Vera Elizabeth Brimer, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the assurance that Gerry is now whole, healed, and forever in the presence of her Savior. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith in action, and those who loved her find comfort in the promise of Jesus Christ and the hope of eternal life.
A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at Junction City Church of Christ, on Saturday, July 11, 2026 with visitation beginning at 10:00 and the service at 11:00. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Dragons United, Junction City Special Olympics United Champion School at JCSD, P.O. Box 790, Junction City, AR, 71749, or to Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, TX, honoring Gerry's lifelong love of music, education, and serving others.
As Gerry enters her eternal home, her family finds comfort in the words of Scripture:
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:21
