Gordon served in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California in the early 1970’s. He was a retired Civil Engineer for the Arkansas Highway Department. Gordon loved hunting, fishing, and all kinds of sports.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Roy Hite.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Sullivan Hite of El Dorado; mother, Elouise Stacy Hite; son, Brent Hite; daughters, Robin Privitt, Heather Booth (Cody), and Breanna Mills; and grandchildren, Ariel Privitt, Karson DeBlieux, Kolton DeBlieux, and Jaxen “Little Big Shot” Mills; one sister, Phyllis Robinson; three nieces, Lee Kempf, Susan Russell, and Heather Evans; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Marty Newsom, Trey Vernon, Gene McKinnon, Russ Weldon, Karson DeBlieux, Kolton, DeBlieux, Cody Booth, Calieb Calahan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Young's Funeral Directors with Pastor Rod Mills officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
