

The Lord cast his line and reeled it in, and said, “This one’s a keeper.” Henry Darrell Nash, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2011, at his residence in El Dorado, following a brief illness. He was born on January 14, 1943 to Roy and Pauline Burnside Nash, of Laran, Louisiana.
Mr. Nash was an employee of El Dorado Paper Bag, for twenty-three years and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. His greatest passion was fishing. He enjoyed hunting, and was an avid wrestling fan. He also treasured the moments he was able to spend with his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Trudy Mae Ellingburg Holley of Farmerville, LA and Annette Nash Fogg of Shreveport, LA.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Davis of Spearsville, LA; a son, Floyd Nash of Kalamazoo, MI, and three granddaughters, Cassie and Alex Nash of Kalamazoo, MI and Kimora Crew of Spearsville, LA. He was also survived by one sister, Elaine Gross of Pineville, LA. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Laran, LA, with Bro. Jessie L. Foster and Bro. Derrell Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Laran Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Pall Bearers will include, Odell Nash, Bobby Burnside, Jimmy Cranford, Brian Jester, Mike Hammons, and Kevin Doster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Henry Darrell Nash, % Young’s Funeral Home to help accrue funeral expenses.
