Born April 26, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas, he was the son of Elbert Benton Jackson and Nova Erma Cavender. Herschel was a member of the North American Hunting Club and was known to many as a jack-of-all-trades. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Herschel worked as a truck driver for most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Faye Hedrick Jackson; one son, William Lee “Billy” Jackson; and brothers, Bobby Dale Jackson and Jeffrey Ray Jackson.
Herschel is survived by his son, Chris Jackson (Kim) of El Dorado; a sister, Carolyn Warren of El Dorado; brothers, Ronnie Eugene Jackson of Harrison, Gary Lynn Inman (Missy) of Green Forest, Randy Inman of Dubach, Louisiana, and Leslie Lloyd Inman (Cheryl) of Rogers; one grandchild, Joshua Lee Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will host a gathering Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at 800 W Oak St, El Dorado. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors of Distinction.
