On this Thanksgiving Day we do have a lot to be thankful for. Left behind by Uncle Alton are his memories that we will all share and treasure. Having a large family to comfort each other in this time in itself is such a blessing and a great thing to be thankful for. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time. Love always, Clay and Vickie Blackwell

Why this was a shock, I don't know. 93 years of a good life has to end sometime, I suppose, but I felt Alton would be with us forever. I have the most pleasant memories of his life as a friend to Shorty and to me, memories of all of the family growing up and becoming good members of the community under his guidance and discipline...and of all the times at the barber shop when he cut the hair of both my boys and Shorty...He was a great person, a friendly righteous man and I'm happy to know he will be there before me to greet me someday soon. Much love to all of you. Dee Ludwig (El Dorado)

We were in Wal-Mart in Arkadelphia this afternoon and received a phone call about Alton. We were so sorry to hear this and started toward El Dorado to the funeral home and HWY 7 was closed due to high water. Alton was always very special to us and our prayers are with the family. The last time I saw him was when my brother, Harold, died in April and he came to the funeral home.
God's Blessings Gene & Frances Ross, Prescott, AR
