James Jimmy Lewis Flournoy

Jimmy graduated from Mount Holly High School then attended Southern Arkansas University. He worked on a crew and as a service man for Arkansas Power and Light for 38 years. He served as the business agent for the IBEW Local 1703. He was manager of the AP&L El Dorado Federal Credit Union and was on the board of directors of the Lion Federal Credit Union. Jimmy was a member of West Side Baptist Church and enjoyed being active in missions and golden agers group. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlotte Fife Flournoy; and infant daughter, Connie Rochell.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Vicki Squyres Flournoy of El Dorado; daughter, Mona Murray of Hot Springs; sons, Kirk Hudson (Kristie), Lance Flournoy both of El Dorado; grandchildren, Bradley and Alex Murray, Josh Hudson (Holly), Madison Hudson; and a future great granddaughter. Also surviving him are his brother, Eddie Flournoy (Betty).

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Westside Baptist Church with Bro Gerald Perry and Andy Whitten officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
