James R Humble

He was a member, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Westside Baptist Church for many years and still considered it his home church. Rick started his career as a brakeman for the former Rock Island Railroad. He spent the last 30 years of his working life in various capacities at Lion Oil Refinery where he retired as an Operator. Rick was an avid duck hunter and fisherman for most of his life. He was a lifelong Razorback fan. He enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his wife Martha as he helped to care for his parents in their later years.

As he entered Heaven, Rick was greeted by his wife Martha and his parents Jimmy and Sarah.

Survivors include his four children, Jamie Humble and his wife Lesley of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Amy Davis and her husband Robert of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Jacob Franks and his wife Tiffany of El Dorado, AR, and Levi Funderburg of Jacksonville, Arkansas, his sister Pam Humble of Beulah, Colorado, brother Don Humble and his wife Renee of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and sister Barbara Murchison and her husband Warner of El Dorado, Arkansas. Also surviving are his grandchildren, McKinley and Morgan Humble, and Audrey and Ryan Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado, Arkansas Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery Wednesday, July 15, at 10 a.m. with Brother Mike Pounders officiating.
