

He was born February 14, 1927 in Strong, AR to Claude Allen Frisby and Clara Norris Frisby. J. D. was a WWII Army Veteran and before retiring he worked as a pumper for Murphy Oil Corporation. He loved working in his yard and going fishing but most of all he loved his family especially his grandchildren.
J. D. was an active member of Wyatt Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister, Melba Frisby Welch; a granddaughter Amy McDaniel and a great grandson, Austin McElwee.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mona Frisby of El Dorado, AR; daughters, Cathey Carter (Barry) of Homer, LA & Debbie Rimmer (Jim) of Parkers Chapel; grandchildren, Chad Watts (Melissa) of Homer, LA, Heath Carter of Bossier City, LA, Candy Furlow (Mark) of Haynesville, LA, Todd Carter of Houston, TX and Ashley McElwee (James) of El Dorado, AR; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July, 6, 2015 in Young’s Chapel with Rev.’s Heath Carter, Josh Bullock, Adam Thomas, Donny Hymer and Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
