Born February 3, 1946 in El Dorado, he was the son of Floyd and Ethel Tucker Smith. Jerry was a truck driver having been employed by Frank Thompson Transport and the Arkansas Department of Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the United States Air Force.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were a brother, Roy E. Smith, two sisters, Linda Kypke and Sue Wilson along with a nephew, Roy Wilson.
Survivors include a sister, Bertha Scott, nephews, Brad Roberson (Brenda), Sammy Scott (Melissa), Bryan Wilson and Roger Wilson (Amy) and a niece, Kellie Scott. Also left behind is Jerry’s favorite fur buddy, Scooter.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
