Joe De McGoogan

Born October 2, 1944 in El Dorado, Joe was the son of Dewitt and Mildred Ellen McGoogan. Joe had been employed in the poultry industry for many years before his retirement. He had recently been elected to the Clermont City Council. He was an active member of Concord Baptist Church in Clermont.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McGoogan of Clermont, a son, Jeffrey McGoogan of Cleveland, GA and daughters, Kim Cantrell and her husband, Kevin of Clermont and Allison McGoogan also of Clermont. Also surviving are brothers, John and Gary McGoogan and a sister Mary Ellen Houldridge along with grandchildren, Timothy Cantrell, Jonathan Cantrell and Amanda Cantrell.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends at Three Creeks Baptist Church from 10:00 am until service time and in the fellowship hall following the service.
