Joyce L. Hines

Joyce L. Hines passed away May 12, 2023 at The Springs in El Dorado, Arkansas surrounded by family. She was born in El Dorado on August 23, 1949 to the late Lawson Greer and the late Dorothy Hambrick Benson.

On Sept. 10, 1965 she married Otis Hines, Sr, who predeceased her on December 26, 1998. Those left to cherish her memory and miss her dearly are 5 children: Lisa Sipes (Larry), Otis Hines, Jr., Ricky Hines (Janna), Renee Martin (Darien) and Beth Hines; 16 grandchildren-Colin MacDougall, Craig Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Abby Sipes, Courtney Hines, Jared Hines (Emily), Justin Hines, Grant Hines, Natalie Hines, Griffin Hines, Zach Martin, Nicole Venne (Rene), Rayshawn Pitts, Coby Pitts, Danielle Short and Alexis Birkeland. 8 great grandchildren; Kenley, Avery, Arlo, Knox, KennaBeth, Wyatt, Madeline, and Lucas. Also surviving are her 2 step-daughters, Leilani Frisby, (children Elizabeth, Beverley, and Linda) and Martha Harrison (children Kathy Faith and Trisha McElveen).

Surviving stepmother is Callie Greer as well as siblings: Linda Clark, Dorothy Jean Chronister, Nancy Capps (C.W.), Helen Greer, Martha Slaughter (Jimmy), Connie Bates (Bobby), William Greer (Teresa), Eugene Greer, Jeanette Poole (Randy), David Greer (Naomi).

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, a brother, Harold Greer and a sister Betty Jo Greer.

Pallbearers-Darien Martin, Larry Sipes, Craig Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Rodney Parker and Griffin Hines.

Visitation will be at 10 am May 15th at Young’s Funeral Directors Chapel followed by the service at 11:00 am.

Interment will be at Champagnolle Cemetery.
