

LaNell Brillhart Moore, 83, of El Dorado, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her home with her family around her. Born March 24, 1929, in El Dorado to Mattie Lee Brillhart and William Wright Brillhart. She was the youngest of 7 children who preceded her in death.
LaNell grew up in El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School. LaNell loved her high school graduating class and always looked forward to helping plan their reunions. She attended Louisiana Tech University for three years before marrying her husband, Dr. Berry Lee Moore, Jr. LaNell was a part of the El Dorado Service League. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and taught a young married couples’ Sunday School class along with Berry Lee for several years. She was a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship where she led Good News Clubs and taught children Bible lessons in different neighborhoods in El Dorado. She loved to cook and excelled at it. LaNell’s greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful, loving wife, mother and homemaker. Her great joy was in caring for her children and grandchildren and seeing them follow Christ. God gave her a generous heart as she was often helping others in need in some way and opening her home to those that needed a place to stay.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband of 58 years, Dr. Berry Lee Moore, Jr., of El Dorado.
Survivors include their four children, Lydia Caraway and husband Joey of Little Rock, Andy Moore and wife Ginger of El Dorado, Rachel Uth and husband David of Orlando, Florida, and Becky Rogers and husband Tim of Ooltewah, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, Rebekah, Sam and Will Caraway, Matthew and Emily Moore, Brittany Betts and husband Brandon, Lauren Winter and husband Jordan, Joshua, Andrew, and Hannah Uth, and Rachael and Madelyn Rogers; 2 great grandchildren, Bradyn and Brody Betts; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Young’s Chapel with Dr. David Uth and Pastor Faron Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 1:30-3:00P.M.
