I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Rambin's passing. She was my 3rd grade teacher and my neighbor who graciously welcomed me into her home after school hours. That meant so much to me. She was an absolute blessing as a teacher and as a little girl's friend. When I graduated from high school I sent her a thank you note with my announcement and she wrote the sweetest letter in return. Lifelong memories. So grateful to have known her. As a teacher's child myself, Thank You for sharing your mom with so many of us. She was well loved and admired.

Glen & Mitchell: Sorry to hear that Aunt LaNelle has passed. Dad also passed earlier this year, Feb. 5th. He would have turned 89 March 16th. They both had a good run. Hope all is well with each of you and your families.

Glenn and Mitchell and families,
I will miss your mom and her stories and her sense of humor. My dad was lucky to have her as a sister, along with his other wonderful sisters, and we kids were lucky to have her as an aunt.

Dear Mitchell, Glenn, and Family,
I am so sad to learn of Nell's passing!
I really loved her and I had written Elizabeth last week and asked for her address. I wanted to send her a copy of my "Christmas in July" letter about my new granddaughter, Lincoln Rose! I am so sorry for your loss. I am remembering all of you in my prayers!

Dear Mitchell, Glenn, and Family,

I want you to know how much I always loved visiting with Aunt Nelle. When I was a kid, she knew how to talk to me--and all of the Smith children. With her open smile, her wry humor, and her genuine sincerity, she always made me feel so important and so loved. So many times, I remember sitting with her at Aunt Bokie's table talking about school, about friends, about future plans. She was always interested and interesting.
Years later, when Mother and Daddy were sick, I was comforted by her and Aunt Bokie's visits, their supporting presence filled with laughter, food, prayer -- and love. I consider myself truly blessed to have known her and Uncle Buck.
