Lester "L.D." McMullan

Lester D. McMullan (L.D.), 92, of El Dorado, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 25, 2022. He was born on February 3rd, 1930 in Meridian, Mississippi, to DeGraw and Celeste Brown McMullan.

L.D. was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy McMullan (Carolyn) of Silbey, Louisiana.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Nila Owens McMullan; two sons, Rick McMullan (Pam), and Randall McMullan (Diane), both of El Dorado, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Natalie Hull (Stacy), Melodie Britt (Tommy), Leslie Alexander, Mollie Lee, Jodi Williams (Donnie), Katie Skidmore (Justin); 3 step- grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

L.D. had a long career with State Farm Insurance spanning over 60 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner for the majority of his life. He was also President of Quinn Water Association for several years. L.D. was a loyal husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and always provided for them.

On behalf of the family we would like to express our great gratitude to his caregivers and special friends, who served him and his family throughout this time of need.

A graveside service by Youngs Funeral Directors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Austin Alexander officiating.
