

She was born December 13, 1945, to much loved parents Lillian Lucille Massey Turner and Alva Leston Turner, in Kosciusko, Attala County, Mississippi. Linda was a graduate of the Baptist School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas, and worked for AHEC South Arkansas until she retired.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Gladys Cummins and Mildred Steed.
She leaves her husband, James Carleton Garrett of El Dorado; two sons, James Adam Garrett, El Dorado and Stephen Richard Garrett, Atlanta, Georgia; two grandsons, Layton Tyler Garrett and Benjamin Ryder Madura; a granddaughter; sisters, Louise Stone, Tupelo, Mississippi, and Lois Oliver (Jim) of El Dorado; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Spooner and Carmen Armistead.
A bright star shines for you, dear sister. We will miss you.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, October 28, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Gary Baldwin and Bishop George Callaway officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be from 5-7p.m., Sunday, October 27, at the funeral home.
