Lois Frances Thurlkill

Mrs. Thurlkill had previously worked at the Flower Basket and Melody Mart along with being a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Mt. Union Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, Sherwood Thurlkill, a brother, Jerrell Dumas and sisters, Marthalene Modisette, Janell Deaton and Sue Willis.

Survivors include her daughter, Shanna McLelland (Clarence) of Junction City, sons, Kevin Thurlkill (Steven Bogard) of Hudson, FL and Greg Thurlkill (Karla) of El Dorado. Surviving granddaughters are Cara Osborn (Tyler) of Junction City and Haley Speights (Darrick) of El Dorado along with a great-granddaughter, Eden Speights ; and her faithful companion, her beloved dog, Abby , who was always by her side.

Mrs. Thurlkill's family would like to especially thank the staff of LifeTouch Hospice, South Arkansas Home Health and caregivers, Mary Nelson, Neketa Johnson, Terra Meadows and Ashley Poore for their care during this time.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Mt. Union Baptist Church until service time of 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Ayres officiating. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
