Lorenzo Dowe Mitcham

Lorenzo “Don” Mitcham, III, 71 of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 3, 1942, to Lorenzo Dowe Mitcham, Jr. and Ethel Perritt Mitcham in El Dorado, AR.

He was a member of Murmill Baptist Church, a Veteran of the United States Army, and worked as a terminal manager for DANA Transport.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and a brother, Phillip Mitcham.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Mitcham, son, Richard Mitcham (Laney), two daughters, Kathy Vance (Will), Shelly Barnes (Chad) all of El Dorado; sister, Pam Harris, brother, Richard Calvin Mitcham; and seven grandchildren, Rachael Mitcham, Jennifer Mitcham, Kimber Mitcham, Jordan Vance, Jacob Vance, Shawn Barnes and Caleb Barnes.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Murmill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Young’s Funeral Directors.
