Louise McKinnon Phelps

She was born May 5, 1927 in Wesson, AR, the daughter of Fred Vernon McKinnon and Claudia Baker McKinnon. She was a bookkeeper for numerous companies over the years and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She especially loved traveling to Razorback games with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Marie Shrewsbury and brothers Lawrence, Chester and Doyle McKinnon. She is survived by her husband Ted Phelps of El Dorado; nephews Jim McKinnon (Sarah) of Magnolia, John Shrewsbury (Debbie) of Benton, AR.; Larry McKinnon (Cheryl), Micky McKinnon (Stacey), Rick McKinnon (Cindy) and Tony McKinnon, and niece Jodie Sawyer, all of El Dorado.

Visitation for Louise will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Young’s Chapel with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sam Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church, 4268 Junction City Highway.
