Luther "Bo" Ray Mc Neely

Luther Ray “Bo” McNeely, 85 of El Dorado, went to his Heavenly Home Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 11, 1927, to Bird Ray and Emma Francis Scott McNeely in Hays City, AR.

Bo was a Veteran of the United States Navy and the Marines, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Arkansas Specialty Oxygen Company, where he served as General Manager. He was a member of East Main Baptist Church and Good Sam, and enjoyed RVing, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Celia McNeely of El Dorado; three daughters, Debra Joyce Allison of Little Rock, Brenda Gail McNeely of Smackover, Vanessa Rhea Nix (Dennis) of Hampton; one son, Matthew Ray McNeely of Smackover; six grandchildren, Christi Jamerson, Cory Jacobs (Lyndsy), Kari Greene (Shun), Kristina Ables (Cody), Josh Nix (Bri), Cody McNeely (Lindsayjo); one sister, Margaret R. McNeely of El Dorado; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at East Main Baptist Church with Bro. Benjy McCann and Bro. Ricky Smith officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
