OBITUARY
Marilyn Warren
September 19, 1944 – November 30, 2019
Marilyn A. Warren, 75, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born September 19, 1944 to James Lewis Simpson, Sr. and Pauline Strickland Simpson in Hampton, AR.
She was general manager at Suddenlink Communications for over 30 years, and a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was chairman of the finance committee and worked with the Helping Hands Food Pantry.
Marilyn was a sweet & kind lady who loved her family and friends. She greeted everyone with a smile and left with a hug. She loved to shop and took delight in choosing perfect gifts. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. “Nana” was so proud and did her best to attend all their activities. She also treated her nieces and nephews to special days when they were growing up and continued the tradition with her great nieces and nephews. She always had a peppermint or piece of gum to ‘sneak’ them. She definitely set the bar high for being an “aunt”. She is already so deeply missed by all that loved her kind, gentle nature.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Charles Warren, sister, Diane Graham; and son, Ricky Craig.
Survivors include her son, Jason Craig of El Dorado; brother, James Simpson (Mary Beth) of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Anna Craig, A.J. Craig, Richard Craig, Brandon Craig; and several great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews, Renee Huhman, Alicia Simpson, Kinsey Lenihan, Lewis Simpson and Courtney Graham and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Young's.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. David Ruehr officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to the Helping Hands Food Pantry, 700 W. 8th St., El Dorado, AR 71730.
An online guest registry will be available at www.youngsfuneralhome.com

Marilyn, you are my best friend and life will never be the same without you. My heart breaks for our two in-town grandchildren and all the activities and amazing things that they will accomplish and you will miss by not sitting there by my side. But, I will keep you informed and I know that your grace will cover them.
Family and friends, may beautiful memories of Marilyn sustain us and may we be comforted by the love and compassion shown to us. Heaven has gained a new angel. We are better people for having her as a part of our life.

I met Marilyn in 2005 when she was the system manager for Cox Communications in Greenville, MS. She gave me my start into the cable industry and mentored me. She was a caring woman with amazing business savvy. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
