

Marjorie E. McCorvey, 94, of El Dorado, passed away, Friday, October 27, 2017, at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation. She was born November 14, 1922, to Bush and Grace Jackson McCorvey in Junction City, AR.
She worked more than 40 years as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in Shreveport, LA, before her retirement. She served as an Elder, Director of the Women’s Missionaries, and was Secretary Treasurer for Scotland Presbyterian Church. She was also the Secretary Treasurer for the Scotland Cemetery Association in Junction City, AR.
Preceding her in dearth are her parents; brother, Dr. Norborn McCorvey; and special cousins, Virginia Berry and Maxine McCorvey.
Survivors include her cousins, Bill McCorvey of Calion, Martha Berry Tate of Texarkana, Janis Lawson of Hot Springs, Gloria Estes of El Dorado, Mike McCorvey of Smackover, Roberta Clary of Junction City; and numerous friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Felicia Brown her friend, companion, and caregiver for many years of love and devotion.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, at Scotland Presbyterian Church with Rebecca Spooner officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
