Born on June 12, 1925 in Marshall, TX; she was the daughter of Alva Bruce Harp and Elizabeth Mae Cubberly Harp. Martha borrowed her sister's birth certificate and enlisted at 16 in the US Army. During World War II, she was a Cryptographic Tech decoding Japanese messages in Australia and the Philippines. When she was discharged Martha was a Spec 5 with the Signal Corp.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters, a granddaughter Angela and her husband Monroe Junior Muckelrath.
Survivors are sons Oliver Muckelrath (Peggy) of Mount Holly, Nathan Muckelrath (Lynn) of El Dorado and Randall Bruce Muckelrath (Glenda) of Sheridan; a grandson Stacy Muckelrath; granddaughters Jennifer Muckelrath, Rebecca Muckelrath, Elizabeth Sullivan and Victoria Prince; along with 7 great grandchildren and a special friend Dorsey Stegall.
The family will receive friends Friday evening 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors followed by a Rosary service.
Funeral services at 10 am, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Edward D 'Almeida officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
