Mary "Madge" Lewis Black

She was born January 15, 1949 in Three Creeks, AR to Odis and Sibyl Cole Lewis. Madge worked as manager of Factory Connection and was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her first husband Benny McKenzie.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Black of Spearsville, LA; three daughters, Kimberly M. Waller (Wayne) of Parkers Chapel, AR, Kellie N. Jolley of Three Creeks, AR and Kristal L. Jones (Sidney) of Parkers Chapel, AR; two step sons, Rev. Marty Black (Tessa) of Clarksville, AR and Michael Black (Juandy) of Junction City, AR; two step-daughters, Karen Black of Spearsville, LA and Angie Arender (Justin) missionaries to the Philippines; a brother, David Lewis (Karon) of Parkers Chapel, AR; two sisters, Alice Ann Walker of Haynesville, LA and Joy Lewis (Jarvis) of Three Creeks, AR; eight grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA with Rev. Adam Holloway and Rev. Rueben Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA.
