

Born on May 7, 1925 in Union County; she was the daughter of Thomas Cleg Nash and Mary Inez Pepper Nash. A lifelong resident of El Dorado, Melba retired as supervisor of wholesale accounting for Murphy Oil Corporation. She was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ. Melba was a member of Union Medical Center Auxiliary and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Barney Sullivan and Doyce Jones, a daughter Susan Roberson, a grandson, Michael Roberson, twin sons Edward and Edwin Sullivan, sisters, Laverne Breazeal and Lois Snowden.
Survivors are a daughter, Diane Mattox (Tommy) of El Dorado; sister, Linda Means, along with a grandson, Steve Roberson (Amanda) and 3 great grandchildren, Alan Roberson, Robbie Roberson, and Ryan Roberson (Meagan) and their children, Weston and Makena.
Graveside services by Young’s Funeral Directors will be at 10 am, Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Smyrna Cemetery with Kent Jobe officiating.
