Melinda Kay Taylor

Melinda was a member of Joyce City Baptist. She was a secretary for contractors. At the age of 30 she was diagnosed with epilepsy and became an advocate for epilepsy and helped many people through her brave efforts.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Standridge; and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Warren.

Survivors include mother, son, Garrett Taylor of Smackover, AR; brother, James (Julie) Taylor of Jackson, TN; Nephew, Steven Drew Taylor of Springfield, MO; three aunts, Barbara Jean Sales, Peggy Farnell, and Shirley Arnold all of Smackover, AR; and one uncle, Buddy Standridge of Rock Hall , MD.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Young’s.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Smackover Cemetery with Bro. Adam Willett officiating while under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
