Melvalene R. Duvall, 86, of El Dorado, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas surrounded by loved ones until the end. She was born January 25, 1933 to Earl and Sara Ann "Annie" Foust Fulton in El Dorado, AR.
She married Leroy Duvall on February 14, 1983. Melvalene was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ. She retired from High Capacity Plant in 1996 and from Discount Tobacco in 2011.
Melvalene was a connoisseur of well-done steak. She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and loved to paint and crochet. Melvalene aka Mom, Grandmother, Grandmudder, Mommaw, or CB Handle – “Mother Nature”, considered her family very important and she loved spending time with them.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; and children, Gwen "GG" Risinger Henry and Max O. "Butch" Risinger, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Ann Risinger; grandchildren, Jacki Henry Alexander (Doug), Drenda Tregre, Stacey Risinger Finch (Jay), Jana Risinger Jernigan (Lee), Terri Bunch (Aaron), Sheri Mills (Albert), Kim James (Kyle); great grandchildren, Keith, Matt, Dillon, Brooklyn, Brady, Parker, Jordan, Brooke, Meredith, Alex, Tanner, Kaitlyn, Paige, Mattison, Logan, Jordan, Colby, Cassie, Zack; eight great, great grandchildren; and lifelong friend and partner-in-crime, Judy Miller Lerch.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Young's.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, at College Avenue Church of Christ with Kent Jobe officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
