Mike was a caring and generous friend. Jim and I spent many good times with Mike on the rivers of Arkansas. There were some great New Years Eve parties that Mike arranged at Shorty Small's, floats on the Buffalo, the Spring, the Caddo, and the Ouachita. Mike and I were in the same ACA Kayak Instructor class together. Mike lost a ring during the class in the river at Rockport. Jim took his metal detector to Rockport that week and was able to find the ring, much to Mike surprise and glee. Mike was one in a million; a friend of many years that can't be replaced! We'll miss you Mike!

Very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We are second cousins thru his Mom Jo Ann Burgess Beebe. We graduated high school the same year in 1967. I kept up with him on Face Book, but haven't seen him in years. I know he liked the outdoors and moved to one of my favorite places, Boxley.
My condolences go out to his whole family. I know we will meet again.
You probablly have this picture of Mike's grampa, Fay. It's one of my favorites with his brothers: Emmett (sitting), Otis (left), Jesse (my grampa), and Fay on the right. I'm sure there is a reunion going on now. Cousin Randy Franks

I went to Jr. High and High School with Mike. He was always one of the nicest guys I've ever known! He had such a wonderful smile, personality and sparkling blue eyes!
My sympathy to his family. He will be missed!

I just found out and I am sitting here crying while I type this. I met Mike when I dated one his sons over a decade ago. He and his family were all super nice people and still treated me like part of the family when they saw me. Mike had his vehicle worked on at Laney's when I was working there and we started keeping in touch. He always told me I was the daughter he never had and he was one of my adopted dads.

Adam and Michael, my deepest sympathies go out to your and your families at this time. I know you lost your mom a couple of years ago and my heart breaks for you guys.
