Myrtle E. Barr, 98 of Smackover, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born July 22, 1916, to William Pryor and Birtie Estelle Parks Langley in Smackover, AR.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smackover and was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, George Barr; and two sons, Ralph S. Martin, and Billy Mack Martin.
Survivors include her two granddaughters, Vicki Rutledge (John Paul) of Maumelle, AR, Sherrie Martin of Louisville, CO; grandson, Scott Martin of Bastrop, LA; and great grandson, Boone Martin of Louisville, CO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.Friday, August 22, 2014, in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Carley Davis officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
