I have many memories, especially when I was younger and we lived in Mt Holly. I could walk to Miss Nadine’s house and she always had time to spend with me. She let me push the peddle on her black wrought iron sewing machine, help me learn to ride a skateboard, let me decide who was in the “dog house”...they had a family sign shaped like a dog with hooks that had each persons name written on it. I thought it was great fun to put (usually I picked Lucky) someone in the dog house. I remember watching a movie about the Easter bunny and her getting on the floor to play games with me. I don’t have a good memory and don’t have a lot of specific memories from my childhood, that’s how I know how special and kind and amazing Nadine was. I remember so much about spending time with her. My family knows loss all too well and we are struggling as much as ever from losing my 21 y/o son, my mother & brother in law, last year. I know there is nothing to say or do, expect pray for the ones left here, for now, that miss her and will for grieve her. All my love, Dedra Vinson Turner

Nadine was the sweetest, most generous person you could ever meet. She gave the best hugs. Heaven gained a special angel.

Mrs. Nadene was a wonderful lady! Always smiling, friendly, welcoming, encouraging! I remember hearing her speak and sing at Mount Holly Church for many years, helping with Bible School, active in school activities. She even tried to help some of us play softball!! She was special and made you feel that you were. Yes, it was always a pleasure to be in the company of this beautiful Christian lady. I was sorry that my husband and I had previous appointments scheduled which made it impossible for me to be at visitation or her service. She is now singing with the angels. My sympathy to her children and all her family.

My Aunt Nadene,
I'm at a loss for words even though I knew you were ready to go home.
I will miss your encouraging words, I will miss our discussions on Gods word.
Your sweet voice, your kind heart an example of Gods grace, just like Grandmother and Aunt Pat, powerful legacy to all that had the tremendous blessing of having you in their lives.
I love you Aunt Nadene.
Lucky, Tracy, Merilee, my heart goes out to you all, the kids and grandbabies. I love ya'll.

My Aunt Nadene was one of four most outstanding women and daughters of an even more outstanding godly woman. She was the youngest and last of her sisters to go home and she is reunited with them and her mother. I am going to miss her being in this life as she was greatly filled with life and was one of the sweetest blessings in life. My thoughts and prayers to her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who must now endure the time between now and when they too are reunited. They will see that day because, like her mother before her, she instilled in her children the guidance that led them to faith in Christ and that hope and promise of community with God. She will be sweetly missed by all of us left behind.

I loved Nadene! She was a wonderful woman who was a beautiful combination of traditional and nontraditional. Every bride should have a pair of nice candlesticks, she once told me. Nadene was wise, intelligent, devoted, and told you straight up how she felt. She could pray the most beautiful prayers. I loved hearing her talk about her family, such sweet stories she told. Nadene loved her family and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
