

Pat was a gracious and loving woman who was always willing to extend a helping hand and who valued her family and friends greatly.
After graduating from Christian Brothers University and University of Arkansas School of Law, Pat practiced with the Fayetteville law firm of Pearson, Woodruff, and Evans. She then relocated to El Dorado, where she served for many years as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. She later served as law clerk to the Honorable Bobby E. Shepherd during his tenure as U.S. Magistrate Judge, before retiring to spend time with her family.
Pat is survived by her son, Jackson Knox Compton of El Dorado; daughter, Ashley Tyler
Compton, of El Dorado; sister, Pam Jackson of Seattle, WA; nieces, Patrice Jackson-Henley of Dallas, TX, and Shannon Hernandez of Lynn Haven, FL; and former husband and trusted friend, Walter Compton of El Dorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011, at Young’s
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors and with Dr. Daniel Loomis officiating.
