Peggy Joyce Smith

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, where she served as the church secretary.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Robert Burton Smith; sister, Laconia Tillery; brother, James O. Harris; and step granddaughter, Tammy Peterson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Velma Harris Smith; daughters, Freda Lassiter, Joyce Whitten (Mark); sons, James David Smith (Cathi), Robert Paul Smith (Kay); 41 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Bible Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bible Baptist Church for the building fund or missions.
